My Story

I was born in 1961, in Copenhagen, Denmark. My sister came along in 1964, the year GiJoe was introduced in US.

My first Action Man was the RED DEVIL, I got him for Christmas in 1969, later that year I got the GERMAN STORMTROOPER and the HEAVY DEEP SEA DIVER.

On the picture above, I'm sitting with a JUNGLE EXPLORE but with a blue beret, this must have been Christmas 72 or 73.

In my collection was all the great ones, LIFEGUARD, BLUES AND ROYALS etc.

But as I grew up, I lost interest for Action Man and the electric guitar and girls were more of interest !

So my collection was given away to smaller kids in the family, or blown away on new years eve.

Today many years later, my interest woke again. My son wanted a Action Man for Christmas, and he got one, of course. And when I saw it, the memories came too me, all the ours in the sandbox with Germans and Britain's, the wars in my father and mothers bedroom. The rescue Missions in the bathtub etc.

But the Action Man my son got, didn't look like the ones I had, so the quest to find a old Action Man was begun. I found a nude Painted hair at a flee market for 50 kr. (10$) This was in 1998. But the quest was not over, I had to find some uniforms and weapons.

Today 9 years later I got over a 250 full dressed Action Man, several vehicles , boats, planes, tents etc. etc.

And you know what...I love it :o)
